2025 AZ Maternal & Child Health
Workforce & Policy Summit
Do you consider yourself a policy maker, healthcare provider, birthworker, researcher, public health worker, childcare provider, non-profit leader or community health worker?
Our Summit is for everyone who supports birthing, pregnant, and postpartum families.
Since 2021, we have hosted over 24 Ecosystem Lunchtime Conversations, and three 4th Trimester Ecosystem Summits, impacting over 1000 maternal and child health providers. This Summit is your opportunity to join change-makers across healthcare, policy, and community organizations as we unite to strengthen Arizona’s maternal and child health systems.
The Summit will be hosted in person as well as live streamed (hybrid) to provide the greatest accessibility to all providers, advocates and community members in AZ.

This year the Summit goals are:
- Strengthen collaboration across Arizona’s maternal and child health systems and sectors
- Examine systemic barriers that prevent families from accessing care
- Foster a thriving MCH workforce—including doulas, lactation professionals, and rural providers
- Increase awareness of and access to MCH career pathways, especially in underserved communities
- Promote workforce well-being and resilience amid shifting healthcare and policy environments

+ More
We bring people together.
The challenges new families face are too complex to solve with a single initiative. Yet providers, non-profits, and change-makers often work in isolation, lacking the channels to share information and create widespread change. This outdated approach leads to unacceptable gaps in maternal care, particularly among Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities.
We bring people together across organizations, professions, and communities, providing a framework for collaboration. Together we discuss challenges, identify emerging needs, and exchange ideas to find real-world solutions for families in Arizona.
