The second annual conference has come and gone. What a whirlwind! And as members of this fast-paced world, we found ourselves jumping onto the next step, our next set of goals, upcoming events, and planning the rest of the year. But wait a moment. We can’t let another day go by without saying: thank you.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank YOU!

What a wonderful Second Annual 4th Trimester Arizona Conference we had! Our hearts are filled with appreciation and gratitude to our Sponsors, Exhibitors, Speakers and Volunteers who worked tirelessly to help make our second event so successful.

And we’re so grateful to the over 400 people who gathered on a beautiful Saturday at the i.d.e.a. Museum who came to learn, grow, and build a community of support and love. And boy did we learn some things! Our Speakers captivated us with topics, that previously, aren’t discussed out in the open. Topics like Sex and Intimacy After Baby, Your Body During And After Pregnancy, Demystifing Postpartum Depression and Anxiety, Matrescence (the identity shift that happens as we transform into motherhood), and much more.

The Importance Of Building Our Community

At the opening remarks Jennie Bever, Executive Director, put her hands over heart and got to one of the core values of 4th Trimester Arizona:

“I know that it can be very isolating to be a parent. But I want you to know that you are not alone. Everyone who is here today [at the conference] is here because they want you to know that you are not alone. We’ve brought you together today to bring resources here AND  to let you know that you are each other’s resources. Making connections with people in this village is what brings me more sanity. We have this huge, wonderful, perfect village and all we have to do is reach out.”

Having a community you can trust and lean on makes it easier for us to learn, grow, and when we need to, heal. This was also an important theme at our conference with a Healing Room for reflection and sharing, yoga, sound healing, and sharing our stories in a Truth Booth.

Things To Come

If you missed this year’s conference, no worries. We will be sharing Speaker videos in the weeks and months to come. And we have monthly Community Gatherings and everyone is welcome!
