Couples look forward with great anticipation to welcome their baby, and experience the joy that comes with the culmination of the labor and childbirth experience. What most don’t realize, is that sex and intimacy between a couple often changes – and may not fully recover without some valuable guidance.

Dr. Debra Wickman shares some straight talk about the science behind these common concerns; how to prepare for it, and what to do when difficulties with desire, arousal, or pain persist beyond that magical 6-week postpartum timeline.

Dr. Debra Wickman is a gynecologist with more than 20 years of experience. She completed a fellowship in Female Sexual Medicine at UCLA, and is also trained as a sexuality counselor.
